Stacy W. Smallwood (stage name Exodus) is a poet, student, and health advocate who is entering his third year of performing poetry. He has performed at open mics, slams, workshops, and cultural arts events across the southeastern U.S. His work has also been published in THRIFT Poetic Arts Journal of Charlotte. He recently competed at the 2003 Southern Fried Regional Poetry Slam and the 2003 National Poetry Slam in Chicago as a member of the first-ever Columbia, SC Poetry Slam Team. He is currently completing his Master of Public Health degree at the University of South Carolina, with plans to pursue an MFA in the near future.
