Ed Madden is an associate professor of English at the University of South Carolina and associate director of Women's Studies. He is also the president of the American Conference of Irish Studies, Southern Region, and a graduate of Leadership Columbia 2001. Twice a South Carolina Academy of Authors fellow in poetry, Madden has published poetry and essays in numerous journals and anthologies, most recently in Solo, Cold Mountain Review, and Natural Bridge (a special issue of Irish-American poets). He recently published an anthology of essays and poems on male experience, The Emergence of Man into the 21st Century, co-edited with therapist Dr. Patrician Munhall. Madden and Munhall are currently completing a sequel anthology on adolescent experience.
