Sarah Allen is a composition teacher and graduate student at USC. She has also been in graduate programs for Creative Writing at Naropa University and Hollins University. At Naropa, she studied under poet Bernadette Mayer, essayist Ed Sanders, and fiction-writer Jim Carroll. At Hollins, she became interested in the genre of the Personal Essay, an interest that she now pursues through scholarship. Sarah is thrilled to have this opportunity to work with children and adults of all ages in creative writing.
