Born and educated in England, Carl Jenkinson has a degree in English and French law and a graduate degree in Education. Carl received his MFA in fiction from USC in 2003 and is currently a PhD candidate in 20th Century American Literature. Carl's real world experience is equally varied: in addition to moving pianos and building houses he has taught French in London and North Carolina, he has worked as a full time cycle guide in France. He is co-editor of Yemassee, the literary journal at the University of South Carolina. His fiction has appeared most recently in Full Circle and The Potomac Review. Carl has served as a guest artist for the Palmetto Center for the Arts.
