Our Artists also devote scholarship towards creative writing pedagogy and research to find formidable ways to enrich state standards in Language Arts education, writing across the curriculum, and collaborative arts projects. Many of our artists have presented at major conferences around the country such as CCCC and Virginia State University Conference on Creative Writing Pedagogy, and have published articles in several journals.

In the Fall of 2003, Split P Soup joined with the South Carolina Poetry Initiative, a statewide organization for the promotion, celebration, production of poetry based at the University of South Carolina under the direction of Dr. Kwame Dawes.
